Aluminium-zinc alloy-coated steel sheet is the abbreviation for this type of steel sheet with an aluminium-zinc alloy coating. It is composed of a ternary alloy material consisting of 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon. This special composition enables it to possess both the corrosion resistance of aluminium and the sacrificial protection characteristic of zinc. The unique silver-gray fish-scale-like crystalline patterns on its surface are the result of its unique microscopic structure formed during solidification at high temperatures.

Aluminum-coated zinc sheet is an important alloy material frequently used in daily life, and its unique excellent properties are highly favored by various industries.
1. Corrosion Resistance
The corrosion resistance of aluminum-coated zinc alloy sheet is attributed to the protective function of the barrier layer of aluminum and the sacrificial protection function of zinc. When zinc acts as a sacrificial protection in areas such as cutting edges, scratches, and damaged coating parts, aluminum forms an insoluble oxide layer, exerting a barrier protection function.
The results of long-term atmospheric exposure tests of 55% aluminum-zinc alloy sheets in various regions around the world, such as rural areas, industrial areas, general coastal areas, and harsh marine areas, show that under the same coating thickness, 55% aluminum-zinc has 2-4 times higher corrosion resistance than galvanized sheets.
2. Thermal Reflectivity
Aluminum exhibits excellent thermal reflection properties, capable of reflecting a significant portion of ultraviolet rays, and having a relatively high reflectivity within the ultraviolet wavelength range. The heat reflection property of aluminized zinc-coated steel is very high, being twice that of galvanized steel. It is suitable for use as insulation materials and for metal roofs of steel structures, achieving energy-saving effects.
3. Processability
Aluminum-coated zinc has excellent toughness, bending formability, excellent unidirectional ductility and weldability. It can be cold bent, stamped and welded into various shaped components.
